Professional Nursing at Presbyterian embodies the best of our past and the brightest of our future. Today we stand proudly on a foundation built by nurses for nearly 100 years, and we look to the future with great anticipation. From the very beginning, our organization has been focused on helping the people of New Mexico. We have carried this tradition since our beginning as a four room cottage throughout our growth into the largest healthcare organization in the state with 8 hospitals, over 40 outpatient clinics, a health plan and some 3,000 nurses statewide.

The geography in New Mexico is as unique as Presbyterian – each providing a diverse and exciting variety of opportunities. Our land is rich with culture and history, as well as booming industry and growth opportunities (not to mention great food, fantastic people and beautiful landscapes). From large urban settings to small rural facilities, Presbyterian offers a wide variety of practice venues for nursing. Our nurses practice in hospitals, ambulatory care sites, patients’ homes and through telemedicine links over the internet. We offer a variety of specialties, programs and practice settings for Graduate Nurses, RNs, LPNs, Nurse Mid-Wives, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Nurse Practitioners.
